Biblical Dream Interpretation Course

About Course
Learn to hear what God is saying while you sleep, and respond the way Scripture models it.
Dreams and Visions is a seven-lesson, self-paced online course in biblical dream interpretation taught by Pastor Alex Meadows. It covers dreams in Scripture, how to prepare to receive them, the revelation-interpretation-application process, numbers in dreams, the eight types of people who appear in dreams, and the twelve categories of dreams God gives, with a wise response for each. One-time enrollment, lifetime access, $27.
God told Job that He speaks “in a dream, a night vision, when deep sleep falls on people” (Job 33:15, NET), and Joel promised that in the age of the Spirit your sons and daughters would dream dreams. Most believers have had a dream they could not shake and did not know what to do with it. This course gives you a biblical, Spirit-filled framework for recording, testing, interpreting and responding to your dreams, without a dream dictionary and without superstition.
Who it is for:
Christians who want a biblical framework for their dreams; small groups and Bible studies; prophetic and prayer teams; pastors who want a resource to hand to dreamers in their church.
What you get:
7 video teachings (5 hours 49 minutes), 7 downloadable study guides, a reflection workbook, 7 review quizzes, a certificate of completion, lifetime access.

Why a course and not a dream dictionary?
Most of what you will find online about dreams falls into two camps. The secular camp says dreams are your brain cleaning house, and the meaning is whatever you decide it is. The dictionary camp says a snake always means this and water always means that, and hands you a code. Scripture rejects both. “Don’t interpretations belong to God?” Joseph asked (Genesis 40:8), and then he interpreted. God speaks in dreams, He speaks in symbols, and He expects His people to seek Him for the meaning rather than a lookup table.
This course teaches you to do what Joseph and Daniel did: receive the dream carefully, bring it to God, read it in the light of Scripture and your own life, test it, and obey what you understand. It is Spirit-filled without being spooky, and biblical without being cessationist.
| Dream dictionary | Secular dream analysis | Dreams and Visions course | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Source of meaning | A fixed code | Your own psychology | God, through Scripture and the Holy Spirit |
| What it does with a symbol | Assigns one meaning | Asks what it means to you | Asks what it means in Scripture, in your life and in the whole dream |
| How it handles a nightmare | Looks it up | Treats it as stress | Discerns its source and closes the door |
| What it asks of you | Nothing | Reflection | Prayer, testing, obedience |
| Where it ends | A definition | Self-awareness | Hearing God and responding |
What you will study
Biblical foundations for dreams and visions
Why God speaks at night (Numbers 12:6; Job 33:14–17; Joel 2:28), the difference between a dream and a vision, every dream recorded in Scripture and what God was doing in each, and why dreams come wrapped in symbols. Jesus taught in parables; a dream is a parable of the night.
Preparing to receive
The four preparation practices: Scripture, prayer, worship and a quieted heart. How to keep a dream journal, how to record a dream without editing it, and why most dreamers lose the dream in the first ten minutes.
The interpretation process
Revelation, interpretation and application as three separate steps, and why collapsing them is the most common mistake. How to find the focus of a dream, decide whether it is literal or symbolic, and hold an interpretation loosely until God confirms it.
Numbers in dreams
What biblical numbers consistently signify, why a number usually measures time or quantity rather than hiding a code, and the guardrails that keep numbers from becoming numerology.
Eight types of people who appear in dreams
A man or woman of God in your life, a person from your past, a minister you do not know, a baby, getting married, a loved one who has died, a president or authority figure, and a faceless person, with the three questions that unlock what each one means.
Twelve categories of dreams God gives
Destiny, edification, exhortation, comfort, correction, direction or warning, instruction, cleansing, revealing the heart, spiritual warfare, creativity and impartation, each with a biblical example and the wise response. Misread the category and you will either run ahead of God or sit still while He is calling you forward.

Five steps from dream to obedience
- Prepare. Scripture, prayer, worship, a quieted heart. Ask God to speak before you sleep, and settle anything that would stop you hearing Him.
- Record. Write the dream the moment you wake, in the present tense, exactly as it happened. Preserve every detail before you touch its meaning.
- Discern. Identify the source: God, your soul or the enemy. Test it against Scripture, by its fruit and by its tone. Most mistakes happen here, by interpreting a dream that should have been dismissed or dismissing one that should have been heard.
- Interpret. Find the focus of the dream, decide whether it is literal or symbolic, read the symbols through Scripture and your own life, and name the category. Hold it loosely until God confirms it.
- Respond. Revelation without application is just information. Pray it, repent of it, prepare for it, wait on it or act on it, and let the fruit confirm the interpretation.
Every lesson in the course lands somewhere on these five steps, and the study guides walk you through them on your own dreams.

Dream Interpretation Course FAQs
Does God still speak through dreams today?
Yes. Joel 2:28, fulfilled at Pentecost (Acts 2:17), promises revelatory dreams to sons and daughters in the age of the Spirit, and no New Testament text withdraws that promise. The course opens with the biblical case and every dream recorded in Scripture. Read the full answer in the free guide.
Is dream interpretation biblical?
Yes, when it is done the way Scripture models it. Joseph and Daniel interpreted dreams as an act of dependence on God, and Paul told the church to examine prophecies rather than despise them (1 Thessalonians 5:20–21). What the Bible forbids is divination: seeking hidden knowledge apart from God. Asking the Holy Spirit what He meant is the opposite of divination.
What is biblical dream interpretation?
Approaching a dream through Scripture, prayer and its full context, rather than a dictionary or a formula. This course teaches you to record the dream, discern its source, interpret it in the light of the Bible and your own life, test it, and respond. Symbols are read by what they mean in Scripture, in the whole dream and in your personal history.
What are the twelve categories of dreams?
Destiny, edification, exhortation, comfort, correction, direction or warning, instruction, cleansing, revealing the heart, spiritual warfare, creativity and impartation. Part 7 teaches all twelve with a biblical example and a wise response for each.
Does the course cover numbers and people in dreams?
Yes. Part 3 covers numbers, Part 6 covers the eight types of people who commonly appear in dreams, and Part 5 covers practical keys to understanding dreams. Every symbol is read within the whole dream rather than assigned one fixed meaning.
Will this help me with nightmares or recurring dreams?
Yes. The course teaches you to discern whether a dream comes from God, from your soul or from the enemy, and how to respond to each. Recurring dreams and dreams that bring fear or torment are addressed directly. For recurring demonic dreams, the Deliverance Ministry Training Course goes deeper.
Who is this course for?
Christians who want a biblical framework for their dreams, small groups and Bible studies, prophetic and prayer teams, and pastors who need a resource for dreamers in their church. No prior training is required. Bring a Bible and a notebook.
How long is the course?
Seven video lessons totaling 5 hours and 49 minutes, plus seven study guides, a reflection workbook and seven quizzes. Most students finish in two to four weeks at one lesson a week with the exercises.
Can I take it at my own pace?
Yes. It is fully self-paced with lifetime access. Work through Parts 1–7 in order: watch the teaching, read the matching guide, complete the reflection activities, take the quiz. Each quiz needs 80% to pass and allows unlimited attempts.
Can I use this with my small group or church?
Yes. The study guides and workbook are built for group discussion. Email info@alexmeadows.org for group enrollment.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Pass all seven review quizzes and you receive a certificate of completion from Alex Meadows Ministries.
What does my purchase support?
